Tuesday mornings, beginning 02/10!

A guide to understanding the mind and reducing stress through yoga practice. In Iyengar yoga, we don’t study them as theory. We experience them through the body.

 

One of the main teachings is that yoga helps quiet the busy mind. We do this by placing the body with care and precision. When alignment is clear and the body is supported, the nervous system settles, and the mind becomes calm and attentive.

 

That’s why we use props and why we hold poses longer. It’s not about how far you go. It’s about learning to pay attention. When the body is organized, the breath becomes smoother and awareness deepens.
